Replaced xfer case motor now wont shift unless stopped

Any ideas? 1998 Expedition and after replacing the shift motor, it shifts fine now, but not while driving??? You have to be stopped, and it doesn't matter if you are in park or not...

Which settings are you trying to shift between when driving?

Trying to shift from 2H to AWD and also to 4H.

Was the new shift motor a direct fit or did you have to rewire the connector like others have had to do?

Would you mind if i ask you what was the issue with your TC before you replaced the motor? I have 2000 Navigator and i am wondering if your symptoms and mine matchm, i may also try to replace the motor on mine....and hopefully it will shift all fine.
