I've read a fair amount on this topic but will post question anyway hoping not to get insulted or flamed. My understanding is any 1980 -1996 F150/ Full size Bronco 4X4 front end will fit under a F150 of the same years and I'm only referencing TTB, not SAS. Are there any differences one should know about that make the installation easier, no little issues popping up along the way? I own a 1996 F150 standard cab/short bed 300 5speed 2WD and am looking at a 1986 full size Bronco front end priced insanely low. Thanks for your time to read this.
They're identical but it's still a lot of work to convert from 2wd to 4wd, many threads here about it, but the Bronco parts will work for you. You'll need the mount plates riveted to the frame for the radius arms, & the 4X4 radius arms are they available from the Bronco as well?
I guess you know you'll need the transfer case, transmission & driveshafts, & transfer case shifter too, right?

Thanks for the reply. Yes radius arms are available and I know about the additional parts. Don't have any plans yet, just asking questions. Thanks again.
I could have sworn the TTB was a direct bolt in replacement for the TIB on these pickups.
As in, no need for changing frame mounts.
But there is one year TTB to stay away from, I can't remember off hand what that exact year is, But, the lockout hubs are held in place by the wheel studs....
