I guess its a good thing its plugged into my downstairs neighbors electricity then huh? hahaha Sooo anyway. Yeah I was wondering about the GP's and the GPR. I replaced both of those on my old 6.9 and it helped a ton with cold starts so i'll probably end up doing that either way. I'm going to look into the UVCH probably saturday. I have a scan tool but i guess it must be a "cheap one" cause it will only read my map sensor and it won't read codes on the truck either, cause i have a "service engine soon" light on and it won't tell me anything. Or on these trucks does "service engine" soon just mean its due for an oil change or something like that?

Thanks for the info guys you are helping out a lot!!

If/when you do the GPs stick with Motorcraft(Beru) brand plugs. Autolites will swell the tip and getting them out... not fun.

If/when you replace your GPR, go with a Stancor unit. Flows more juice & more reliable.

on THIS PAGE it's the 2nd item listed, but you'll want to bookmark that entire site and read it all. Guzzle (Bob) is a fellow 7.3 PSD brother, VERY helpful, and just an all-around nice guy. I've had the pleasure to meet up with him twice, but only to buy parts from him. He sells o-rings that are (somewhat) specific to our truck from his online shop, Replacement O-rings for Ford Diesel Engines

and yes, our trucks will run OK with a boost leak... get that detector on there, and welcome to the brotherhood!
