This is my first post. I just made the deal on purchasing a nice 63 swb F100, 6 cyl. 3 on the tree. Real sweet and pretty well maintained/taken care of.
Any way my plan is to customize when money allows. One of the things I want to do is to lower it. What is involved and who can guide me in the correct direction? Previous threads, etc.
Hello.........I am also new to this site. If you search this forum using the "search" button in the upper middle of the page you will find quite a few posts re: lowering a '63. Good luck with your project and post pictures as you go.
CT.
Thanks. There is a lot info as you pointed out. I need to read ALL of it and then I'll come back and ask again so I know something rather than nothing at this point!
I lowered my '62 about 22 years ago. I went to Waco Spring and Brake and got "reversed eye main leafs" made, which dropped it quite alot. You can also take some leafs out and now even get a mono leaf made that will support the vehicle. In the front, you can go w/ a dropped axle and/or dropped spindles. In the rear, you can go w/ extended shackles.
***cheapest way: reversed eye main leafs/mono leaf. You can have these made at any good spring shop. Just e-mail me f/ any more info. jhfctx@yahoo.com
