I know very little about Holley pro-jection but it sounds interesting.I have a few questions about it though... Compared to a carb can you gain fuel efficiency without sacrificing power? Talking to a guy that I know about it and he said you can adjust the fuel and what not which I took to mean that you can have it set as more of a gas saver then adjust it and make it more of a hotrod...is this somewhat true or total BS? from what I’ve read and heard about it everything seems complicated but I’m anxious to learn about it and perhaps use it but any information will help me out. Comments and opinions any and all are welcome. thanks
Any Fuel injection has advantages over a carb. I don't know much about Holley Pro Injection but a buddy of mine has run it on his street Dodge Demon & liked it.
What are you wanting to put it on? I believe they can be adjusted.
You're talking about the throttle body injection? It can be made to run alright but will require some tuning. And by "some tuning" I mean a few hours with a co-driver mapping data on a laptop under all different driving conditions. You can also get an adapter to control the timing on a TFI distributor. Not as good as factory EFI, but the tunability is good. Not really all that complicated, it's pretty much standalone - just needs ignition hot and ground connections.
I doubt you will gain mpgs over a carb, but driveability will be up. It will be more solid on the tune, and have automatic altitude adjustments if you get tje closed loop system.
I am very interested in it myself but will probily go carb since its so much cheaper.
Ziegelstienfaust is correct,a well tuned carb is much cheaper to go with than an EFI system. As stated your driveability will improve with an EFI over a carb,it all depends on what you want.I am looking at the massfloefi.com system for my 73 390,it cost's a lot but I am looking at driveability, altitude response and dependability for when I go on the road when I retire. So get what you want for what you need and enjoy.

i HAD one of these units on a 351w in a 81 f150 4x4. what a piece of ***** system. nothing but troubles, could not get it to work right, had less power than my AFB carb did. i ran it for about 6 months. had it to 4 or 5 different shops that" knew" the system. still to no worky. i eventually sold it n a garage sale for $40 and went with a carter 4bbl carb. still have the carb/truck and still works great
