93 chokes

my 93 dies driving down the road once and a while at no certian rpm or speed.i can usually catch it in gear to re-start it but some times it wont but when i hit the key she fires right away. i have no clue why it is doing this, i use the truck to haul 4,500lbs of coal at a time and with the hills of pa i need to get this fixed before my next trip.any ideas of what it may be?

Does it seem like it just runs out of gas? If so, check the throttle postition sensor. My 93 did that and the shop found the the TPS was out of adjustment.
