93 octane????

93 octane????
I have a 2000 F250SD V10. I am wondering why I have to use 93 when the manuel says to use 87. The truck only has 120,000 miles on it and it runs great. Even with 93 in it the valves rattle some times. What is up with my truck?? Thanks guys.

IMHO dont bother with 93 its not used as much and sits around longer in the station tanks. With this new formulated gas after a month it losses its umph any way. Might as well stick with 87 always alot fresher and if you still have a problem with knocking go to walley world and get some booster just make sure its formulated for use with methonal.
