Replace OEM Mirrors with blinkers

Y'ello all,

I have 2000 XLT 2WD Excursion with OEM heated extending towing mirrors.

Is it possible to replace these mirrors with ones with integrated blinkers?

I know they would fit, but do the wiring harnesses already have the blinker leads or would I have to run another wire?

Also, does anyone know of a good source besides LMC Truck?

Based on what I've read on this forum, you would have to run another wire for the blinkers since the 2000 models were not wired for blinkers.

Let me know if you want to sell your tow mirrors. I'd be interested. I have a 2000 Ex with paddle mirrors and I'd like to upgrade to the tow mirrors.

Not sure on the 2000, but on my 02 the mirrors were a direct plug in! I have the factory chrome tow mirrors (replaced the black heated tow mirrors). the only wire I had to run was for the marker lamp in the mirror, the turn signal circuit was already there. I believe the older mirrors had a round connector, the newer ones have a flat connector.
