I will have issues, I do every year, I always need to go in and clean my connections at the battery, at least twice a year. But as of 22* so far this year, not yet.
I am still on the OEM Motorcraft batteries that were installed in '02. I have yet to have any cold start issues.......as long as I take the tuner off of No-Start before I try.
all original cold start equipment, 310,765 miles, lit off at -7 this morning.....the Rotella T6 has made a vast improvement how it sounds vs the Delo but it has always started on all 8 with both oils. wasn't plugged in this morning...opps.
I've replace all my glow plugs and the relay. That helped quite a bit, but switching to synthetic was probably the biggest thing to help get the old girl started. Now it starts up and purrs, compared to some romping and sputtering and smoking.
my trucks p.o. used starting fluid all the damn time so all my glow plugs barely work(i have not tested which ones are dead and what not), my gpr died so i switched it with my aih relay for the time being and seems to be working, still hates to start when its cold.
No problems for me. Stancor GPR and brand new Megatrons last fall. It was -5 last night and my truck started fine this AM, It was however plugged in all night
Mine started just fine this morning not plugged in and it was 15* out this morning. Not near as cold as Bend but pretty cool for this side of the hill.
i just unbolted the lead going to the glowplugs and bolted it to the outlet on the aih relay and swapped the 2 small wires onto the aih relay(i have an aih delete on it so it wasnt being used anyway)
