Any ideas which on non Old Ford Style radiator that fits in 1951 F1?

Hey guys I was looking in the articles and I found a posting that states the replacement radiators (non old Ford Style) that fit our 1948-52 Trucks are 26 wide and 19 tall..

"The 4-row radiator for a 1972-1979 Dodge D-100 pick up with 318 CID engine. Measures approximately 26.25” wide by 18” tall. Outlets are top left 1.5” hose and bottom right 1.75” hose.
The 4-row radiator for a 1970 Ford F-100. Measures 26.25” wide X 19.25” tall. Outlets are top right 1.75”hose and bottom left 2.0” hose.
1976 Mustang with 351 CID engine. Measures 22” wide by 21” tall (excluding the neck). Fits the radiator support easily. Outlets are top right and bottom right."

...I have found mine to be the opposite?(26 tall and 19 wide)..anyone have a sure fire replacement size or part number for my 51 F1? Thanx in advance.

There are 2 different widths of mid 70's Dodge truck radiators. You looked at the wide one (which is too wide). Several of us are set up with the narrow one which fits with some work at the flange (also sold for a 318).

Ford radiator

I installed a 79 Bronco radiator in my 48 F1. I had to make a new support but it works just fine.

radiator options

Hi I will be looking at getting a rad soon for my 48 1/2 ton with a Chev engine. When discussing width is that dimension taken from the extreme outer edge including the flange or just the core and vertical side pieces? Do any of you have a part number?
Most times when I go to NAPA if I do not have a p/n I'm Hooped.

Truck rad

Yea I know that aftermarket items are avalable but I would like to use stock original stuff, can anyone give me an idea about year and p/n on those Dodge pickup rads? The after market shops would not have a rad in stock for me to measure.

rad.

They come with the brackets to bolt to the STOCK radiator saddle and have any inlet/outlet choice. Replaces ORIGINAL perfectly and has 4 rows.

Tom,
The info below was provided by Vern (GreatNorthWoods") back in 2005. I bought the same radiator for my 49 F-1 with a 383 stroked sbc. The core is 18" high and 22" wide. Vern ran his, I am still in the building process. You can see pics in my gallery.

"I got my new radiator Saturday. It is a Transpro Ready-Rad Heatbuster number 43 6001 (replacement for Chrysler industry model 1583). The application is for a 72-79 Dodge Pickup Truck HD 3 row without A/C. I found it on Ebay new for $159 plus $15 S&H. This radiator fits within the confines of the stock core support with just slight trimming of the stock brackets and drilling a few new holes. The upper radiator outlet in on the driver's side and the bottom outlet is on the passenger side. I thought I'd pass this along to any of you thinking about using an OEM replacement radiator instead of spending the big bucks for a custom Walker or similar. I still do not know for sure how well it will cool my truck but since it is made for a Dodge truck with a V8, I do not anticipate any problem cooling my small block engine.

Vern "

That does not look right to me. It did not come up for me as a truck radiator. Try the link below:

I am 98% sure I used the cu511.It fits real well between the rad saddle.Just had to redrill some holes. What engine are you using.I had to have the lower hose outlet moved to the the side of the lower tank to fit my 5.0L.
