anti theft module

anti theft module
any help would be appreciated. my alarm went off by itself,would not respond to key to deactivate.had to unplug fuse. now with fuse back in ,the throttle does not work check engine light comes on while throttle is depressed. truck starts and idles but no throttle.could anti theft malfunction cause no throttle?

a little history;had a fire that started in bed it spread to cab alot of smoke and heat damage when i went to pick up truck, the alarm was set off when i put key in to start i removed fuses and drove it on trailer. i have since replaced EVERYTHING INSIDE TRUCK. i replaced door windows, and was trying to set off alarm . all seemed to work fine. the nxt day alarm went off by itself. had to remove fuse to shut off . after replacing fuse alarm is quiet but no throttle. mindboggling.

It sure sounds like the IVS (idle validation switch) might be stuck closed. Look down at the accelerator pedal and you will see a red button (switch) that comes up when you press on the accelerator. If you press on the go pedal and that red button does not come back up then you will get the symptoms you are seeing. If that's the case then just work (push) on the red (IVS) button to try and make it work.

i looked at ivs working fine. i then looked at fuse panel remember i told you i changed EVERYTHING inside cab including fuse panel cover it came from 94 150 gas truck. it says fuse # 3 not used . on a whim i put fuse in and presto throttle works. thank you so much for your help. in a round about way you solved my problem for me thank you . my truck has been sitting since 10-09 . thank you again for your help
