Hey Guys!

Just wanted to say hello, and if there was a introduction thread section, sorry if i missed it, i have this expedition for about 4 months, has a new motor in it, ad so far it runs pretty good. Its not my daily but i drive it every once in a while. My first SUV as well, been driving sedans most of my driving life lol, nice step up to hang with a large group of friends or to move furniture.

So here it is, any suggestions, my bro just had 5% tint put all around and 20% in the front, next probably a slp exhaust system, HIDS, and maybe just maybe a nice stereo setup. I've been thinking about some black rims, but not sure what size yet

This is the closest thread we have to an introduction one.

What is the "9C1" part of your screen name? Do you have a 9C1? I did at one point, one of the best cars I've ever had. Sorry to have let it get away in retrospect.

I hear it was a favorite among moonshine runners because of how it could outrun a lot of the police cars.

She was pretty (to me anyway). It was a really quick car. It was a patrol car in my town, went to one of my fellow firefighters after it's tour, then to me. By the time I got it, it was wearing a custom dual exhaust and truck tires. I got it back to being a car, got rid of the last parts and pieces of it's patrol life, painted it and drove it for 30k miles. Sold it for $100 more than I paid for it.

lol, that was an old pic, when i first got the truck, its been 4 months since that pic. And yes its 9c1 as police package, i'm using the same username as i do on my other forums. i have a 93 and a 96 caprice 9c1s, both ex police cars. And yes they are quite fast, esp my 96, built on the same platform as impala SS (same car really)

idk if its blasphemy to post pics of chevys on a ford forum, but since i was asked, thought i'd show them off...

I work at an auto body shop so they will both be painted soon

my 93

my 96

some of the crew

i also do custom sigs desktop backgrounds as well, so if your interested, PM me

ok enough about my chevys, anyone have any negative experiences with large rims? im really not sure if i want to do a lift or just ride on some nice rims.

I was never a huge fan of that gen body style on the Caprice, I think the SS treatment made it much better looking but as far as the 9c1's went they always looked too boat like. Yours look good with the paint jobs and the snorkle hood. Mine was the old square boxy flavor and was an Impala.

thanks, the impala is a trim package which makes the car look overall sexy, its funny because they're are so many impala owners that cant except that their precious SS is a caprice with the wx3 trim package lol

the 79 impala coupe, SICK!!!! i'd do an LS swap, LQ9 block stroked, longtubes, spintech exhaust, procharger, with a t-56 and 4:56 gears in a locker out back, man i love that year impala..so much potential
