Rebuild time finally!!!
1. I have found a master kit from summit racing. Are these kits any good? I poked around on there site and saw quality names that I recognized. The kit comes with main, rod, cam bearings, pistons/rings,complete gasket set,oil pump. I have a new timing chain figured in and already have a cam. The price to my door is less than 400 bucks and that works for me!
2. I have an old 390 I am stealing the crank out of for the project and am wondering how do I tell if it has been turned yet?
What are the stock measurements?
3. Does anyone know where to get a crank turned in Minnesota? How can I tell if it even needs to be turned besides looking for spun bearings and gouges.
4. Will my stock log manifolds and the 2 1/2 pipe be able to compensate for the extra cubes?
I thank you all in advance as I know people on this site will answer more than I need. Keep up the GREAT work!!!

So I finally have the funds to do a rebuild on my truck. I am doing the 390 conversion and just have a few more questions I want answered from people I can trust.

I wish I had a bit more money for headers but I guess you cant have your cake and eat it too. Also, does anyone know how much it cost to have a crank turned?
