Smog without egr
got a nice pair of shorty headers for my truck for free without the smog previsions. i know someone who would pass the visual so that isnt the problem. i was thinking i could either weld the bungs for the egr stuff or take all my egr and smog equipment out and clean up the look under the hood. do you think a good running 351 with the cat would pass the sniffer test without any of the other emissions?

How do they sniff in your state. Idle or on rollers? EGR & Air Injection are turned off at idle, Egr because use at idle would be terrible, & air to avoid overheating the cat, so if it's an idle test, it would be unaffected, as long as you're sure you could pass the visual.
