F350 electrical question...

I just installed a new starter and starter solenoid on my 86 F350 with a 351 gas engine and now my dash lights are dead and nothing is coming on at all, I reconnected everything exactly as it was when it came off. and I checked all of the fuses. I really need to get my truck running again your help would be greatly appreciated smart people. Also which repair manual would be best to get for this truck, I would like to get one on Cd so I can print what I need with out having to worry about ruining a expensive book.

Check again, you had to miss a fuse link at the relay, should be something like 4 of them there. Or put it on the wrong side of the rely....doubt it, its probably laying down under there hiding from ya someplace.

Oh and just pick up a cheap Hayness manual, should have all you'd really need. Be sure and get one that includes wiring diagrams.

The book "36058 (880)" covers 1980 tru 1996 2 and 4 wheel, all gasoline engines for example and has wiring diagrams, sells for about 25 bucks.

the lug on the solenoid closest to the battery gets all the wires except the one going to the starter and the small push on wire.
