Okay 95 psd mt 4wd.
Put new injector o-rings to solve the rough idle and intermittent surge problem. O-rings were trashed. The truck ran perfect for 13 miles. Started back in. Now I have a constant misfire but its not really bad. Fuel mileage sucks everything. I hooked to the snap on scanner tonight. It won't let me run a contribution test ever it keeps throwing a p0195 for oil temp. I did notice however that I have an active p1280 icp sensor circuit voltage low but no cel. I cleared it started the truck and checked again. Still there. How do I have an active code that won't light the cel. If i unplug the icp the light comes on. Anyways my other question is about my pcm code FMEF10J1.HEX. The tsb says these 94 95 trucks have the exact same problems with the old flash. Other than the sticker on the fan shroud that I don't have how can I tell if I need the update?
I have done IPR O-rings, Injector O-rings, different oil, FPR, 97 filter housing, and a crank sensor. Damn this thing I wish it would do what I tell it to.
How does the truck run if you unplug the icp? There will be a check engine light but it will reset to default pressures and take the icp out of the mix. Im not sure about snapon scanners but oil has to be up to operating temp before doing a contribution test auto enginuity will do it but if oil isn't warm enough it'll fail every time. Did you maybe not have the harnesses plugged in all the way? Ive heard of orings getting torn on reinstall. Hows the hpop resorvoir level? Did you use a ford or ih cps? Sorry I know nothing about the computer codes
Well I figured it out. The piece of crap dual mass flywheel was coming apart. No wonder I could never see a drop in the high side oil pressure or fuel pressure. Changed it out Saturday and its like a whole new truck. It starts faster, runs smoother, and doesn't rattle your brains at highway speeds.
