2006 F150 Airbag Light

I have a 2006 F150 STX and lately my airbag indicator light and passenger airbag indicator light repeatedly flashes on and off. I don't see any loose connections under the seat. Has anyone else had or heard of issues with this???

Thanks!

Airbags!

Just tell your wife/girlfriend to put a cork in it. Warning lights should subside(but overheated light will come on then)

I've got a 2007 SCab and since a month ago, the passenger airbag light stays on all the time.
In the past three days, the driver's seatbelt warning light and bell has decided to come on even when I am wearing the belt. If I take the belt off, the alarm stops for a while, then goes off again to warn me that I am not wearing a seat belt!
Just like you, no loose electrical connections.

I guess the first question is...do you have anything on the seat? A heavy jacket, etc? I have a laptop bag that must be right at the threshold for what can set it off, because when the bag is in the seat, the light will come and go.

If the seat is empty, then you have a sensor problem. Same if the seat is occupied by a close to full size person.

Well I called my Ford dealer and he said it sounded like a sensor problem because it is activated with an empty seat as well. He said something about having to do a diagnostic to pinpoint the exact location of the problem. Not a fan of that idea due to what Ford dealers charge for labor haha
