I drive about 35 to 40k a year all over the country. The tires have an awesome look to them but it will really all depend on what I get out of the factory tires. Thanks for the info!
so i was browsing the 6.7 site and came across this and thought that i could add my 2c, i have an 02 7.3 SC LB MT 4x4 and am on my second set of Nitto Terra Grapplers and I recommend them to everybody that has a truck that does more highway miles then off road miles. my first set lasted me over 60K, not a lot of towing but i did my fair share from 2K -15K. I do more highway then off road by about 10:1 and have no problem with them when i do go and play.
During the snows last year only got stuck when I was playing while having some of my friend Jack D. and doing something stupid. Ended up pushing snow with the grill for a short ways before the ole girl got stopped, then it took a rather large John Deere to pull me out. they went so well that I ended up taking my 73 y/o neighbor to the ER for emergency surgery b/c the ambulance got stuck trying to get to him.
I just put a second set on 2 weeks ago, just before hunting season, and I am going everywhere my brother and friends are going in their hunting trucks with the big and loud mudders they put on for hunting and winter without any problems. It kinda pisses them off when i make it look so easy.
So there is my 2c, i HIGHLY recommend them. Hope this helps.

I bought the Nitto Trail Grapplers on KMC Rockstars this last summer for my Ram Cummins. Great tires and probably the best aggressive road friendly tire out there. They looked amazing but my economy dropped quite a bit as they weighed around 75lbs a piece. Who knows what I will do next. I'm upset I never got to use them in Winter.
Wow I can't believe all the good things I am hearing about Nitto tires.....I have had quite a few sets of Nittos...car and truck tires and I cannot come up with one good thing about them. After horrible snow and ice traction and significantly lower mileage than other truck tires I switched to Procromp xtreme terrain all terrain tires and never looked back. I traded my last truck off with them still on it and I had put over 30k on those tires and it was hard to tell that they were very far from new..plus the sipping on the procomps gave me awesome snow and ice traction. Im glad all y'all out there have had such good luck with them but I never have and neither has anyone I have ever met...usually I hear the lower cost being why people buy them over other brands. (I never got a chance to try the trail grapplers)
I'm running the Dura Grapplers on my two F-350 4x2 ambulances and they are performing amazing. The wear is awesome and the noise is next to nothing (especially compared to the factory Continental's that were on them). They're really holding up well on our terrible county roads too.
I just put a pair of the Terra Grapplers on my Tahoe SSV 4x4 and they are so much quieter than the Goodyear Wrangler's that were on there from the factory.
I used to just view Nitto as a fancy, off-road specialty tire. I now plan to use them everytime I can and will be putting some Trail Grapplers on my '09 F-150 FX4 sometime in the next year.
I just wish they'd make a 19.5 tire for my F-450 ambulance and F-550 brush trucks!
I put BF Goodrich TA/KMs on my 2000 Ram 1500 and 2004 Ram 2500. These tires were quiet on the highway and got GREAT tracion in the snow. When the factory tires on my 6.7 wear out, I will have these or the TA/KOs, haven't decided yet, put on the 6.7.
Fellas, I am in the market for new tires. Do y'all know if 35x12.50x20 tire will fit on my 20" OEM rim? The rims I am running are the factory rims old a 2006 f250.
I am interested in a list of "American tire makers" that are actually wholly owned American companies whose products are made in America. I am not a huge Nitto fan, but how about a list of American made alternatives?
I know a couple people that run Nitto tires and like them, but i REALLY like my Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx. turning out to be an awesome tire, and i have easily 6 friends with ford trucks that run the STTs. One guy runs them on almost all of his company trucks (including a dump truck)
Just my 2 cents.
I choose the Nittos for many reasons. I have been running bfg's all terrains on all my past trucks and just got a little tired of how they looked. I wanted to try something new. I need a tire with a strong sidewall because of past damage on my 16 inchers and these 20s have a whole lot less. I also needed a tire that could hold up to the caliche rock roads that I bomb down daily. They look great and so far I like em. They have about 2k miles on them.
