short story.........

Well we just got back from Myrtle Beach with the family weekend and I have never missed my truck as much as I did this weekend. We drove my wifes buick ( still kicking myself) due to gas mileage. Well when it was time to go we had boxes and bags like you have never seen. I told my wife that we may be leaving her there. We played tetris trying to get everything to fit. We got it loaded for the ride and could not see out the back. Another reason for taking it was parking in the deck. Well today I went to Home Depot with the back seat out and loaded my new 53" tool chest in the back with no problems. I love this truck. Now back to regular scheduled programming.

Sorry to hear of the horror story! LOL! Were heading out tomorrow to the in-laws, 400 miles away and were taking the Excursion, my wife even demanded it.... which is great!! We dont own any newer cars.... so it's either one of the Explorers or the Excursion. Since the X is bigger, roomier and more comfy.... away we go!! Gas... well we will just bite the bullet and pay. Im a cheapskate on alot of things, but it will be worth it to take the X on the trip.

Sometimes ya just gotta find out the hard way. My family and I did the same thing about two years ago, took the wifes Jeep to try to save $$$. Even the wife said "Never again!" Can't beat the X for road trips!
