4.0l code 171/174 finally fixed

hi guys just wanted to follow up and post the fix and thank Ken00 and forty fords ...the problem was the intake gaskets (o rings ) were it meets the fuel rail...they were flatened out.not a hard job......anyway thanks again and keep up the good work guys ...Mike in ct

Were you having trouble with hard starting, or was it something else?

4.0l code 171/174 finally fixed

the truck ran fine , the check engine light kept coming on with the code 171/174 bank 1 and 2 are too lean.......

4.0l code 171/174 finally fixed

On my 97 Ranger 4.0L it was the gasket under the fuel! A little more fun to fix. I replaced the "O" rings too.
