Well i was driving my truck a bit yesterday and noticed white smoke.
When i started it there was none until i started off down the road. after about a mile it quit smoking. I was only driving about 5 miles. so when i went to drive back home after the truck sitting for about 45min, it puffed white smoke when ever i romped on the accelerator.
It has all new glow plugs, under valve cover harness, gpr, valve cover gaskets and one new connector that was obviously melted. I havent had a chance to inspect the other connectors but they appear to be fine to the naked eye.
I know it could prolly use and oil change and fuel filter change.
Im still on the tank of diesel that was in the truck when i bought it. Could old fuel cause white smoke issues?
Depends how bad it is. On cold mornings mine smokes a bit when taking off the first time. It usually clears up within a few blocks. Driving it 5 miles is not going to get it up to operating temp so you might not have an issue at all.
