Thanks for reviving this thread HIO. Having lived in Colorado most of my life cold winters are the norm for me but i bet a few of the newer members will find some very useful info here.

Winterizing in a warm climate is a little different as I learned driving to visit a friend with a questionable battery on-board. Next morning, near freezing, my truck wouldn't start! Battery's don't like the cold and a questionable one just doesn't cut it! Bragging one day embarrassed the next....yep!

We live in montana besides the pit run rock they call sand they also use calcium for deicer this stuff eats any wiring if someone has poked a voltage tester into a wire or spliced a wire it will attack destroying and turning the wires black it follows the wire an inch or more each side of the nick in the wire use some kind of liquid electrical "tape" to prevent this issue..

if its in storage take the tires off and put it on jackstands or blocks.
