Cluster swap

I have a cluster with full gauges and the metal backing has a broken wire on it, I recently got a cluster from a 78' F-250 that I like better because it is gray instead of black around the gauges, The major difference is that mine has full gauges and this one has dummy lights on it. I am wondering if the two clusters will swap out? I was also wondering what the cons are of the dummy lights if any? I have an aftermarket temp gauge and am planning on installing more gauges in the future because I like the more accurate reading.

The clusters won't swap out. If your truck has gauges than you need one for gauges.

Warning light clusters have 14 pins on the connector

Gauge clusters have an 18 pin connector

Physically impossible to swap never mind the wiring harness differences
