Pulled my fuel senders to see why they don't work right. First thing i noticed, is part of them are still in the bottom of the tank. Broke off. Can i get this part? Or do I have to buy the whole thing? also how can i check sender opperation?
I can't say one way or the other about finding one, but if mine's gone i'm just gonna put some fuel hose on the pipe with a 'v' in it so it dont suck to the bottom...
EDIT: Left out the other part... what i would do is take my ohmmeter and put it to the two terminals and slowly move the float up and down. It should change resistance as you move the arm. If it drops off the scale (infinite or OL - out of limit) then you have an open in the resistor. Replacement may be your only option... but don't take my word for it.... what do i know?
