I'm building my first engine

This is my first PERFORMANCE engine I have ever started to build and I could use a few pointers. I'm starting off with a rebuilt 92 302 short block and I"m not real familiar with the speed density set up. I want to run gt40p heads and eliminate the smog pump all together along with the cat. but I'm not sure how that will effect the computer. also I'm planning on larger injectors headers and a gt40 compatable intake but i do not want to convert it to MAF. and will this work on a stock cam or should i stick with stock heads and just throw a intake and headers and call it done?

Yeah for what your building the stock 19# injectors should be fine , the gt 40 heads are a good addition , some long tube headers & free flowing exhaust , i would keep the stock intake , if flows very well , you could use the HO cam & still keep it SD....Lew

You may want to consider a timing bump/coil/gap change as well, it felt like I had good results. There should be posts around.

an ignition box is a nice upgrade to the whole spark portion of it.
