Another no start.
Hey,
Trucks trippin out. When i turn the key, all the way then turn it to start the truck up, it clicks and all the power shuts off. The power will stay off till i take the positive lead off and put it back on the truck. I disconnected hte starter, reset the power, then tried turning hte truck over again, and the power stayed on. So i simply took back my reman starter got a new one put it in same deal...
Any suggestions? Solinoid??

sounds like a bad ground to me. I had a cheby s10 that use to do that once in a while. Course ive also seen a bad battery cause this as well.

first thing i would check is the connection of the ground on the battery. It probably is a ground somewhere on the truck if that isnt it. Have someone try and start it, and watch the engine bay. On my car, when there was a bad ground on the battery, it would shoot up a plume of dust/smoke. It was actually audible. Just look for any loose connections.
