Well, after almost completing my repair of my destroyed entertainment center, I need the rear floor console cap....almost stroked at the price... anyone know where I can get this cheaper than almost 1k? out rageous for this piece of plastic...but. what do I know
I'm sure parts guy ed would have a cheaper price, but Ford is apparently proud of all of their console and interior parts, they all seem way over priced.
Looks like an aftermarket DVD player. factory was built in overhead! You will have to get the whole console from a wrecking yard for that one piece. it should have the radio controls built into it, only the lowest optioned X`s didn`t have them. not sure if you can get just the one piece from Ford!
Yea I remember asking you about it... did ya get a new Ex? Last I saw you were looking at one up there in antartica LOLOL... So could the non dvd console possibly be adapted to fit it? Maybe a little dremel tool work to putta slot to fit one in?
Talked with Ed by email...actually his price was good compared to the the fordparts.com place....
Maybe a little persuasion for a little bit lower on price....the non vhs console was only 124 bucks!!! Guess I need to see one up close to know if its adaptable somehow. Will post pics of the overhead part... doesnt look too bad considering the thieves hacked the wiring harness to shreds and severely cracked the plastic shroud that surrounds the whole system...plus the one in now has an option to install another monitor for the 3rd row seat and wireless headphones!

yea the dremel idea seems like the best, i was sitting here trying to figure out how it was supposed to work anyway as the factory DVD in my '04 was all overhead.
You could get a jumper seat in the middle instead of the console...unless you like the storage. You could also get an aftermarket DVD head unit to replace the factory radio so then all your controls are up front for the DVD as well.
The picture is AFTER they installed the aftermarket dvd player..I assumed they were including the lower console in the install. Basically they installed the system and as the picture sez just bolted the dvd player in...they make a rear trim panel WITHOUT the vhs slot and wondering if I could make a template and cut out to fit the dvd...of course I need to see one first... anyone gotta picture of one?
You might be able to use car-part.com to find one from across the country. Or other option to look at one from the super duty. granted it won't have any cut out as they never had an ent. unit, but you might be able to cut out and use something like a stereo install adapter to make it look good. Just throwing out ideas for ya.
i just searched ebay for "f250 console" and found a few. one was only $112. could buy it and use what u need and part the rest back out on ebay to recoop some money!!
thanks will look into that ... i noticed on the fordparts site the 900 bucks states rear trim panel WITH VHS and another for 125 rear trim panel w/0 vhs...now Im tryin to think to myself about this... does this mean the panel and cutout WITHOUT the vcr or just a panel with nothing but plastic and nothing else....more to come
