You are correct. NASCAR banned the hemi engine when they considered it an "unfair" advantage. Chrysler then pulled out of stock car racing. The hemi still lived in drag racing though. Top fuel engines are based on the 426 hemi. The new hemi in pro stock is also new and does not in any way shape or form resemble the new Dodge truck hemi. Got a chance to drive a new Dodge hemi. It does move. Better than my 5.4L. The hemi will accellerate quicker. I like the Dodge interior, but the look of the Dodge I didn't like.
