So it will fit in my 93... What tools will I need to take it out?
yes it will fit your 93, I am pretty sure all you will need to remove it is a couple of screwdrivers to remove the rubber seal although there may be a few small screws holding it at the bottom.. I would bring a couple of reg screwdrivers , a phillips, a pair of pliers and basic 5-13 mm 1/4 dr socket set just to be safe, besides you are gonna have to tear into the dash a little to get the switch and wiring... maybe bring a hammer and a flat chizel just in case of a rivet or 2 as I did not remove the window it was given to me.... Good luck and let us know how you make out...
Power rear window and a Hurst Olds?.............too much good luck, you need to give me one or the other.
Ha Ha !! Sorry to Gloat, but actually I must have done something right last week as the Window was an awsome gift but the OLDS... was like stepping into a warm pile of .. well you get the point ..I found that car by accident exactly 3 miles from my house, I took a wrong turn while going to ask about a first gen Lightning and while turning around in the guys driveway , the guys dog ran under my truck so I stopped and shut the truck off while he called his dog, I felt stupid at this point and asked about the car and 45 mins later it was on my trailer ...
What year is the Olds? I forget what year they started coming with the more desirable 8.5 rear. Does it have the three lever shifter? I think they called it a lightning shifter. Another thing to look for is if the radiator support is aluminum.

its an 83 anniversary , no it doesnt have the 8.5 that started in 84, yes it has the lightning rods, I never heard of the aluminum radiator support but I will check that..
Thats too bad that the BF cruiser didn't have the power rear window. It might not have even had one originally. I have heard that some did and some didn't.
Its a shame to see one in that condition. I can't believe someone let it get like that knowing what it was.
LOL dont worry that G-body is in great hands as I just bought it last sunday to complete my collection of 80s performance cars.... its actually a very clean orig 80k mile car from florida that basically only needs a repaint...
Thats awesome! You should post pictures of them in the show stang or other ride thread. Can you still get decals for it? You can see my 65 Mustang there too.

Funny you should ask that question... actually I think "phoenix graphix" sells them BUT .... after I paid this feller and went home to get my trailer when I returned he dragged out some parts he collected for it which he said might as well go with the car, the guy actually had all new GM decals in the boxes that he gave me with the car along with a bunch of used xtras including 1 hurst hood scoop,3 hurst trunk spoilers and 3 complete front lower spoiler sets...... and the wierdest surprise of this whole Oldsmobile deal was the nos in the Mopar package, trunklid molding for a 70 Dodge Challenger he left laying on the trunk of the car for me which totally blew my mind as I actually needed one of those for my 70 R/T ... He said that when we were talking about cars before I left to get the trailer I mentioned I had a 70 Challenger, that it sparked his memory of one he had years before.... Yes last weekend was good to me..... I may actually be having another good weekend as I just got a phone call earlier today about another Gem that is supposed to be getting hauled into my friends scrap yard tomorrow I dont want to curse myself just yet but if it transpires I will be sure to post a few pics...
BTW back to the Bigfoot stuff now, I went back to my friends shop today and found the Gasket and switch panel to go with the Sliding window, the rest of the truck is still in his back lot so if anyone is in need of misc parts for a Bigfoot Cruiser PM me and I will put you in touch with him although there isnt much left to it aside from some nice blue interior parts.......
