2 issues that I have and was wondering if anyone else has experienced them.
At times during the rain I see water dripping from the P/S A piller handle area on to the dash board. I have had the windshield replaced because of water leaking down on to the fuse box. I am pretty sure that the windshield is sealed properly as I watched it being installed. I removed the molding and had a friend spray the roof for 45 min at all different angles and cound not duplicate the condition. I did notice the seam sealer used in the groove on both sides of the the roof to be cacked and sprayed that area and no water came in.
While driving at the engine approaches 2000 rpm I notice a whining/whistling sound in 1st and 2nd gears. I can not figure out where it is coming from but it can be heard from inside the cab. It does not happen in park while revving the engine only when driving.
If anyone can give me any ideas on these topics I would appreciate it.
If you don't have the cab clearance lights, then there is really only one place it can be coming from, and that is the windshield. If you look at the door molding, it's below the grab handle, so it can't be coming from there. Water is not going to flow uphill due to the fact that gravity won't allow it. These are my thoughts anyway. Good luck.
I'm dealing with the same leak. I pulled out the headliner and found there was a pin hole in the outer roof sheet metal where the roof angles down to create a lip for the wind shield. some marine grade epoxy sealed the hole.
