Question Whats worth saving?

I have a 1983 f-100 im goin to junk and was wondering what worth saving? The engines a 300 straight six and has no visible damage. any suggestions would be helpful.

Depends on how much storage you got. I would save the whole truck if I had the room.

is it dual tanks!?!?!? i'm in need of a rear tank filler neck (well just the vent tube) but i'll take the whole thing if i have to.

I agree

If not what ever you can that looks good! Only you know how much room you have and how much your willing to keep around. there are tons of small odd parts on a truck that are a real pain in the @$$ to find.

I would put it up for parts in the classifieds before I junked it if I were you. Probably get more money out of it.

Great advise. Simply taking one to the scrapyard can bring around $300. Selling parts off it first doesn't lower the scrap price much, but can certainly increase the total recieved.
Plus, someone may be looking for something that happens to still be good. I've seen cases where 1 crashed or rusted vehicle actually allowed 8-10 others to live a longer life.

i have maroon door panels out of an 86 and gray panels out of a 89 if you're interested. both are all manual.

Sounds like a good idea. Put her up on the classifieds and I'm sure you'll be busy pulling parts all winter and you can scrap whats left after the winter is over.
