Well I went and got my oil changed today and had the guys look at a exhaust leak that I have had on the right side. They gave me the great news that my manifold studs are rusting out and breaking off. Although I am not looking forward to that project, I figure this is the ideal time to put on some headers and replace that y-pipe. I know JBA headers fit up fine and work, I just can't spend the $600+ for a set right now. Are there any decent cheaper headers out there that will be a direct manifold replacement? I know decent and cheap don't really go well together, but I figured someone has had some luck with other off brands. Also, I can't find the link to the replacement y-pipe for this truck. I know I saw one somewhere on here for like $75.

Thanks for your help

I just order one from SPD PERFORMANCE FOR $80.Try their.
Haven't done the headers. But I did have the manifold bolt breakage. I replaced them with the Ford upgraded stainless parts. They have been fine since.
This summer I did put on the SPD Performance Y-pipe. I would bet anything it picked up at least 15 hp. But better yet, the off-idle throttle response is much better. And my 5.4 has a little more low end grunt and is less likely to downshift when lugging the motor at lower rpms in 3rd or OD. Plus I picked up about 1 mpg overall. And it has to be a heck of alot better on that passenger side manifold, because of the free flowing design.
