David, I wish I could have talked with you longer the other nite. My experience looking at lots of different trucks on the AE has been interesting. What I've seen is ICP from max of 2100psi to 3200psi. Nobody has ever said WHY, but I guess not all HPOP's are the same. I know at least one other PSD forum has had alot of negative response to Bob's Adrenaline. I think some guys bought this HPOP assuming they'd see a benefit over stock - and did not see it. My HPOP will make up to 3400psi and can hold over 3000psi, I prolly wouldn't see any improvement from Bob's pump - but the guy with 2100psi would. I truly believe Bob doesn't want to sell you something that won't fix your problem - he's a good guy like that (and damn smart PSD guy too!).

Now, tuning... The more I learn, the dummer I feel. I asked Jody about why my ICP fluctuates 200-500psi at WOT. I wish I could remember exactly what he said, but in a nutshell live tuning would fix that and I'd see more power. I think if the PCM is asking for more oil than HPOP can deliver, the ICP will fall off. In my case, with just a 100hp tune and AC codes (and a STRONG HPOP) - it seems like I'm asking for just a little more than HPOP can deliver. Perhaps your HPOP is waaaay short of being able to deliver what's being asked of it??

I say call Jody and see what he says. I suspect he can adjust your tunes and fix the problem. The truth is, tuners are just guessing to some extent when they write 'canned' tunes. I am a firm believer in Live Tuning and if I ever get a minute - thats what I'm gonna do.

Again, there have been plenty of rocks thrown at Jody over the years - and ICP tables and timing were the fodder of wars more than once...

Remember this? (this was right after my engine broke and the DP haters went off - mostly on other forums )

I'm a big fan of Bob and Sheryl. They've always bent over backwards to help me, EVEN if it ment them NOT making a sale.
I also agree that tuning make a world of difference. My name and experience were thrown around alot when the Adrenaline first came out. I couldn't get my HPOP numbers up running Jody's tunes, even with an Adrenaline. switched to PHP tunes and all the problems went away. Not a bash on Jody, I do believe alot has been learned in the last few yrs by ALL the tuners.
listen to Bob, call Jody and get your tunes adjusted.
Bob's just trying to get you to spend your money on whats going to fix your truck. why be pissed at somebody thats trying to SAVE you money?

What bothers me more than anything about this thread is if it were titled "HOW RUDE" and followed up with "how DP treated me" it would have been CIRCLE THE WAGONS, BURN THE OP AT THE STAKE, and deleted posts. DieselSite is a PREMIUM SPONSOR and deserves more respect. Virtual Reps to all of you who stepped up for DieselSite (saves me from being told I have to spread them around).

Sorry guys, I should've cooled off a little before I originally posted. I basically did what I was complaining about: a little venting. I understand that Bob seems to be a real stand-up guy, and that's the feeling I got from his website before I ever called. I thought Diesel Site sounded really professional and straightforward, offering assistance over the phone and stating that they didn't want you to have to spend money you didn't have to. That's why I called. And I have to give Bob props b/c he did tell me that his product honestly wouldn't fix my problem and that it was a tuning issue. I appreciate that. The only things that rubbed me wrong that i was trying to express was that he said that my problem was my DP tuner and that i should switch to another brand(which he suggested others) and the way in which he said it.
That's all. Not trying to attack any of his expertise or products, etc.
Sorry if I came off that way. Apologies to all offended and thanks for all your honest feedback.
(I didn't really want to drag this on, but i didn't want yall to think i was ignoring
the replies either)

I'll jump in here real quick and preface this by saying i think bob is a great stand up guy. I've bought stuff from him and am happy. I called about his adrenaline and he took it back from me after i bought it. I never installed because someone clued me in to what.the op is talking about. I will confirm that bob told me his hpop wasn't getting results with dp tuner. Since i wasn't willing to change tuners and he was saying that most likely i wouldn't see results he did me right and refunded me. I think that's awesome. I domt want to debate why they don't play well and i don't care. At least he explained it in a way that did not bad mouth or bash any other tuners. He just said do your research and you'll see it didn't work well with some tuners. I read between the lines.
