What kind of pressures and GPM's do snow plows use?
I see the heavy duty homeowner log splitters are running around 12 gpm of flow, while the heavier duty models are running around 24 gpm.
you can get away with running a plow but your going to need to build a valve body either manual or solinoid, youll have to just convert the lift cyl to a regular hyd ram, the power angle rams should still work. as for a log splitter you would have a hard time running it off an engine drivin belt drive pump. youll want a high flowing pump, and your gunna need a pretty big oil tank. if you wanna do that id say run a pto pump.
Deweze offers complete kits 2 to 17 GPM. Plumbing would be standard hydraulics. You would need some sort of selector valve arrangement These kits use the same style of pump you would use on a PTO mount. Here is a link... htttp://www.deweze.com/deweze/OEM/OEM.html
