1999 F-150 V-6 Valve Cover Removal

I am trying to remove the valve covers on the V-6. What is the best procedure? Does the intake plenum have to be removed first?

yea i would pull the upper intake off that way you can inspect and replace without any problems

thanks, I actually pulled without removing the plenum, using the procedure from the Autozone free manual.
