2010' PRICES

Any input as to what kind of deals folks are getting on the 2010' F-150's? Advertisements in my local area are showing rebates of $6,500 PLUS $1,000 on XLT supercrews?????

I believe there's a 'tow & chrome' package on some XLT's that have a $1000 MSRP discount.. I wouldn't really call it a rebate, it's a reduction in MSRP from the factory.

I'd say invoice - rebates is average, probably can do a bit better if you really really want to.

I'm getting conflicting info on the rebate total. The new commercial for the "year end celebration" says $6500 +1000.

Yet the Fordvehicle website says:
$2000 Retail Customer Cash 2
AND

$1000 Ford Credit Retail Bonus Customer Cash 3
AND
$1000 XLT Retail Bonus Customer Cash 4
AND
$1500 Year End Sales Event Promotional Retail Bonus Customer Cash 5
</sup>

I am getting the same result with this site : The Year End Celebration Event is Going on Now!

Anybody know what I am missing?

It's always total BS. They throw numbers out from everywhere. I've seen the following: $3500, $1,000, $1,000 $1,000 and $1,500. I've seen the following on Autotrader. 75% of sticker. So good luck.

In Canada, certain dealers are liquidating their 2010's, making room for 2011. I am now looking at a new truck, instead of the 2006 Explorer I originally looked at. Adding a canopy will work for our needs. They are also offering up to $3,000 when you "recycle" your 1995 or older vehicle (sorry 94 Explorer Sport....it's time to go.
Have fun shopping!

Ummm.....not really.

I got Z-plan, so they didn't have to negotiate with me at all. The rebates they gave me were straight off the 2010 model clearance schedule.
Considering I raked them over the coals on my trade (KBB excellent - 11k, I got 14k), they wouldn't have left a single dollar on the table they didn't have to.

The tag hanging on the rearview said "$6000 - FMCC".
FMCC offered me 6.49% and $1000 rebate. A local bank offered 3.99%, so I lost the $1000, but kept the other $5000 in rebates as advertised.

It's a good time to buy a 2010. Ford is behind the ball on the 2011s. There will only be 30 days left, at most, in 2010 before the 2011s hit the dealerships in any numbers, and there's still plenty of 2010s on the lot.

Negotiate hard. If you don't get A/Z or X plan, get as much for your trade as they'll allow and as many accessories as you can get them to throw in.

I got the ridiculous amount for my trade by letting them think I might not buy their truck. After 2 days of working my trade up from 10k to 13k, I sat down did the credit check and paperwork. I told them I was happy with the payment and then...walked out. Told them I had another deal working with a different dealer. They called me the next morning with another 1k on my trade.

They're desperate to get some trucks off the lot this month.

I got 10K off MSRP on my FX4 about a month ago. My friend just got close to 12k off a 2wd Platinum. It will depend on how many trucks the dealer has on the lot and where you are located. The dealers in Texas seem to have quite a few and are cutting good deals. Make sure you know what your trade in is worth before you go in.

If you got $3K over KBB numbers for your trade in it's because used car prices are about as HIGH as they've ever been. I don't really thing haggling makes much difference today IMHO. The market conditions speak for themselves. A buddy of mine has been in that business for decades and says now is the WORST time in the history of the auto world to buy used. Buying new is a better deal due to high used prices and higher new incentives.

I jsut bought a 2010 F150 FX2 and the rebate was 6500.00, it's possible they brought the extra 1000.00 back again to 7500.00. The Chorme and Toe is up to 12K off depending on the Specific truck. also note the rebate applies to XLT family , should not apply to lariat or rapture.

You should look to see if you have access to a X or Z plan as that is off top first then the rebates are applied.
Any rate good luck

$2,500 off plus another $1000 if I use ford credit.
This on a 145" wb reg cab F150xl. 4.6L 2v
I was thinking of waiting until Dec. for a better deal.
Ford credit is 4.6% for 0-72 months until Nov. 30
I am not sure the deal will be any better in Dec.
What are your thoughts?

I think you should re-read your post then ask yourself it it's possible for someone else to know wtf you just said

Best way to do it is post a link to the window sticker and your details, like final sale price, tax, title, etc.

He said that right now, Ford is offering a $1000 rebate if you finance through Ford credit. He's looking at buying an regular cab long bed F150 in XL trim with the 4.6L 2v motor. He also says he thought about waiting until December to get a better deal but the Ford credit offer of 4.6% APR for 0 to 72 months terms will end on November 30th. He doesn't know if waiting until December will net him a better deal than if he just bought the truck now with the current incentives. He wants to know what the people on this forum thinks about his afore-mentioned options.

He also says that one has more relations with a poor dog than with a rich man.
