Yesterday, I drove my 2004 V-10 Limited 4x4 up town, paying careful attention to the handling characteristics and bought my oil changing supplies. I changed my oil, oil filter and air filter, then installed my Hellwig rear anti-sway bar. It took me about an hour and a half from the time I unpacked it until the time I washed my hands. We farm, so I have access to all of the tools I need to do about any mod or repair. The instructions were adequate, and it bolted right up w/out any issues of rubbing or hitting anything.
Driving it home, the difference in handling was felt immediately. I can't say the body roll stopped completely, but was GREATLY reduced. Quick turns of the steering wheel at about any speeds(under 65) felt a lot more confident and sturdy.
My next mod will be the Rancho XL9000 and spark plug replacement when I get a little more $. Slow but steady pace gets her done.
Thanks to all who recommended this mod, I believe it is a must not just for towing, but for any X, as significant improvements in handling are felt immediately.
I have an extra helwig here at the house. My other EX got totaled prior to getting this installed. It is missing the u-bolts but is complete otherwise. If someone wants this then I would be willing to sell.
