Exhaust Help
I put a 390 into a 1977 F-250. Need a new exhaust system, LMC Truck makes a 1977-1979 dual exhaust system, but not for the 390FE. I will need to fab the connection between the manifold and pipe. Any ideas on how to build the flanged connection that the 390 uses for manifold connection? Thanks

Thats because Ford dropped the FE after '76 and replaced it with the 351M400 in '77. Get an exhaust system for a '76 with a 390, it should bolt in. There weren't any major chassis changes between the years.

a 1976 exhaust system does not have the required crossover pipe for both pipes to run down passenger side due to the aux fuel tank being in the way of the drivers side pipe running straight back. I don't want to fab the whole system, so I figured I would use the 77-79 system (351/400) and modify the connection to the 390 manifold. I figured that someone has already been down this road and figured a solution.
