Hey, it's not only "rust", it's "FORD Rust". Dealerships still prey on the stupid.

I'd tell him to knock off $100 for every pound of rotted sheet metal thats fallen off. That should knock the price down a bit. And a fender too.

You Can Not Fix Stupid.
The other day I went to the Ford Rip Off dealer about a block from my house. I went into the parts department to buy an oil filter for my E-450 RV.FL820S Oil Filter, Also bought a FL1HP Oil Filter and air cleaner for my F-250. Any way when I walked out to my P/U I had one of those scumbag car salesman ask me how much I would take for my F-250? I asked him how much would he give me in trade for it against a F-450 Super Duty, he came back said he would give me 5k in trade. I asked him what would he do with it he said he could sell in a days time.(yeah sure to some sucker south of the border in Baja..) This was at a Ford Dealer that has been here for over 60 years. I wouldn't buy a car from them if they gave it to me for a dollar. Oh I might have to think that over. I figure if I traded my truck in they would find a way to give me 5k for it in trade in. And then add 11k to the price, smile and shake my hand I took my truck in their once for a $19.95 oil change. I dropped it off at 645am my wife went and picked it up, with the coupon they sent us in hand they wouldn't give it back to her until she paid $165.00 (because it's a F-250 Heavy Duty) I complained to Ford Motor Co. Got my money back. That was when the truck was 3 months old. They have never touched it since. If I need to go to a dealer for repairs I take it to a Ford Truck Dealer in North San Diego County. Not anywhere near my house.

I've seen "parts trucks" of that vintage in this area with better body panels than that thing has going for less than $1000. There is even a 1989 with the same powertrain, extended cab for sale here in Phoenix for $1500 that is head and shoulders above that disaster.

If they can get that asking price out of that scrap heap, I've got some wonderful oceanfront property down here I'll sell to them for $500k. The only bad things are there is no ocean, and that dang George Strait and his beach parties.

Look at the dust on the ground.
That POS is literally deteriorating as they're photographing it.
