I have a 30gal auxiallry tank in my bed it is really dirty with grit and alge, i was going to drain the fule out pressurewash the inside of the tank the best i could ,then treat it with that heat stuff it "helps with getting the tank completely dry".Then when i refule it i will treat it with biocide to prevent alge.
Dose this sound right, correct me if i am wrong on anything or, if you want to add something feel free.Need opinions i am doing this tomorrow.
in mine, i pressure washed it out, let it dry. pressure washed it agian then filled with diesel, a gallon of diesel kleen and a half gallon of lucas. let it sit for about 2 weeks then ran the fuel. changed the fuel filter once it was empty and been good as new. my tank is 100 gallon though, so you'd be fine with half that amount
once i build the bio diesel processor i am going to run that dirty fule through, dont want to waste it still looking into really cheap welding machine like $100 dollars cheap
I was just browsing at new aux. tanks and they said gravity feed is illigal ,
well my tank has a fitting at the bottom with a ball valve and a pipe that dumps the fule into the stock tank under the bed to fill that tank and thats it no pumps or anything, am i a crminal !
I live near the city so all the cops are auto stupid they pulled me over for speeding one day and get this ,the cop said to me i must have ben running some bad gas in my truck cause it was running a litte loud and. abnormal LMFAO! ,and i always drive with my taigate up .Theres just more parts to break and fail on the newer ones.
you could get a fuel filter instead. same price, but its built for fuel
Please let me know where you're getting a fuel filter for $3.67. Oil filters and fuel filters are manufactured using the same processes and materials. The filter media is made with smaller pore sizes than for lube oil, but the materials are the same.
