Spring Shackle; CDR
I've read a bunch about them making the ride suck, which isn't the hugest deal to me(it's a TRUCK for goodness sake) but is it really that bad? if it takes it back to the original height(ish) then it should still drive similarly, right?
Also, the PO installed adjustible ball joint bushings, which are already maxxed out, so those should be very helpful in re-tuning the camber after the lift, score for me.
I have probably only 3/4" between bumper and stop on my suspension, maybe 1". What's "normal"?
Thanks!
The ride is what I would imagine stock to feel like, maybe with a touch stiffer spring rate, which is fine by me. But it's better in all ways.
Thank you Oreo for being the only guy on the internet(it seems) that knew about the ride quality of this install. Everyone was assuming they would stiffen it up way too much.
My only gripe is that they didn't bring it back perfectly to camber, still a touch low, and the PO didn't actually have adjustible camber bushings installed so I lost out on that. But my stock springs had a one-spring-thickness shim on them which I can install under the whole thing that may just bring me out to where I need to be.
Thanks all and by the way off-roading is WAY more fun when you have suspension travel! haha
