John Niolon has a good article in the FTE tech articles section and his website. Video available from Mid-Fifty F100 in AZ, No Limit in CA, Hot Rod's F100 in OH. Many other vendors have it. Sorry I don't have the phone numbers handy. A web search should bring up the contact info. All templates I know of are for 1953-56. I don't think they are necessary. I think John likes them though. Video is very useful. General procedure the same for a 60 I'm sure.

I have the video and have watched it about three times since I have little else to do during the winter here in the Northeast. It's a good tool and well worth the money spent. Even though the video is on a Volare installation into a 53-56 Ford, the general principle is the same for other years and models. I'm using it to put a Volare under a 48 F-3. They tell you in the video that templates are not accurate because the Volare suspensions varied from year to year and even from model to model. I'm still waiting for warmer weather to begin my project.

I hit the send button once, I can't control what happens after that. You should probably get in the habit of reading our posts twice to maximize retension anyway.
George, ditto for me. I think the system burped or something because I got a message when I posted that about the server being too busy or something like that. Oh well, at least we got our points across as Earl said.

You.... **** retentive??? It's not like you cover your bare F250 frame with sheet plastic so it doesn't get dusty, and perform weekly safety checks. Or anything like that.
Invite 'fenders to your home, feed him lunch, turns on you like a rabid dog. Life sure ain't fair is it.
About your 60 ford. BOB'S F-100 have templates for what you want to do. I just bought one for my 1956 f-100. Putting Volare under it. The template is $165.00 & well worth it.
You can also find a five page pictorial and article on a volare install on a mid 50's Ford truck in the June 1997 issue of Classic Trucks. It starts on page 24. They make it look almost as easy as installing an aftermarket MII crossmember kit.

And a Gibbon's install in 'Classic Trucks' July 2000 starting on page 56. You're right, it looks much easier than it really is.
Good Luck!

Well guys I got done with the Volare ifs install. Came out very nice. The template I purchased helped me with no guess work.
