need help fast
just picked up a 351 m and the oil is all grey and lumpy what is causing this and how bad is it if its bad i need to no so i can take it back thanks and the water in the motor and rad are clean id that helps

Could be water or some other foreign fluid or even engine grindings.
I'm going to guess the owner didn't change the oil very frequently.
Remove one of the valve covers; if the engine was taken care of, it should look like this:
If everything is covered in sludge and looks similar to this, I'd get my money back:
A compression test will tell a lot.
