The block cracked and blew a seal, but not sure why. Even the mech who was older than dirt was stumped over it, same goes for my buddy who is also a diesel mech. You could fit a pencil into the crack as well as my head gasket has stretched a couple of the stud bolts. He asked if I had been driving over 80 in the truck, but I never went beyond 65 in it. Rarely did I take it on the freeway so it really only ever saw max 45 MPH.

Since I had trouble with this engine since I got it, I'm thinking the PO sold the truck to avoid replacing **** on it. The radiator that I replaced was so crusty that they couldn't cook any more stuff out of it. Had to put in a new one. Injectors & IP were original and that was about the only "normal" thing on it. Fan clutch was dead, oil cooler was leaky, fuel filter harness was cracked, fuel lines were dented and leaking. And my T19 clutch blew up like a freaking grenade. LOL But I still love this truck! Maybe not the engine in her right now, but the new one... everything will be better.

If I do get her to some place to tear her down, I'll post pics of it. I'm interested in all get out on what all went wrong. Currently, my backyard won't do.
