Persistant code P1316
I have done the following to try and remedy this:
Removed valve covers and inspect connections and wiring. No issues found
Fifty cent mod
Tightened all the capscrews under valve cover.
Remove valve covers and replace wire loom and gasket
replace injector drive module at which time I measured the resistance of the wiring between the IDM and each injector. All were within spec, 3.0 to 3.4 ohms.[*]Also checked all my grounds associated with the injector drive module. No issues there either.
I am still getting P1316 "injector drive module codes"
I can clear it, then drive less than a mile before it comes back on.
I hope somebody can help me clear this up, I've spent close to a thousand dollars to remedy this and I don't want to take it to the dealer.

Anyway, I felt pretty comfortable leaving my truck for the 10 days. While I was gone he called me and said he found some schaffed wiring in the engine harness and one of the pins in the IDM connector was expanded and not making a good contact. I ordered him to get a new harness and do whatever it took to remedy this situation. This is my work truck and I don't make any money when it is not running.
Got back in town and called the next day to see if it was ready. He said it would be ready that PM and the bill came to $1900.00. Ouch! I guess I have no choice since I couldn't fix it.
Got a ride down there and paid the bill with my credit card. jumped in the truck and it started right up. Looked down at the instrument panel and there it was "CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON". The boss was out at a lunchtime meeting so I left the truck and told him to call me. That was yesterday at noon and I havent heard from him yet. I guess I'll give him 'till noon tomorrow to respond.
GRRRRR!
