In the process of gutting my EBPV

I have a quick question before i put it back together. I chose to keep the piston and spring in the pedistal but i trimmed the rod, and put a pipe thread in the end. When i put the cap back on the pedistal i could still see the two oil ports. Should i cover them or will they be ok? I plan on not plugging it back in.
Thanks

not quite sure i understand what you did...if you put a plug in where the rod came out..you might as well pull the C clip and cap and pull the plunger out...where the rod came though should be the only hole that gets a plug as far as the pedistal goes...the only other 2 holes i can think of are for the oil feeding the bearings in the turbo..one feeds the turbo the other returns...you dont want to plug them up...there is a sendor at the front of the pedistal..leave that un plugged when you install every thing...
