Only recent pic I have handy as it sits now. 4" lift, springs up front, shackle flip in rear with Sky hangers.driveline is 460/ZF5/NP208, though I have a BW1356 and NP205, not sure which one I'll use. Sits on 35"x12.5" BFG MT.
Wow. My final project on my truck after I work all the bugs out of her is to give her about a 3" lift and throw some bigger tires under there. Seeing these pictures is making me want to do it NOW lol. Geat pics man, keep em coming
Has anybody lifted there's just by putting in some more leaf springs? I saw a nice 100 at my gas station and the ole boy just said he had 5 leaf springs on it to my 4.

A lot of people do. Buddy of mine has 11 leafs on the rear of his and 5 or 6 in the front. Gave it a few inches and a 3" body lift so ended up with enough room to clear 40's
This is my baby SIZE MATTERS I have built it some way but will tear down and build it right It is a FACTORY camper special with 4 leafs to a pack in the front with overloads in the rear with the 10.25 rearend i bought it for $1,000. more upgrades on the way let me know what to do and what yall think
Hi all,
Everybody else's thread has this, maybe I haven't searched deep into the archives. My 80 has not sold, or brought the price I wanted. So now it's back to working on it.
Let's see some lifted 80's trucks. I wanna do a six or eight. Don't wanna go down the road of body lifting but I won't discourage lift pictures that include that. I figured a 6 and a 3 inch would look pretty decent.
Lets just do specs like Lift, tire size, etc.
I recall seeing a black 80-86 truck that the steering components were painted yellow!? Had some wet dreams about that one. Maybe someone on here owns it!?
Well anyways lets see some PICTURES!!!!

Josiah that truck is looking amazing. i have basically the same truck and planning on doing the same lift but with 33s. only thing I'm debating right now is paint.i think ill keep the brown but i want to rhino line along the body line, any suggestions?
I want to rhino line below the lower body line myself, but I want to wait til I get all the little rust I have left over taken care of, and then have the truck painted before I do it. Sadly, I don't know when I will be able to get to that. $500 a month on school loans doesn't make it easy to do much on my truck. The 33's will look great with the lift. I bought my tires before the lift and have LOTS of tread left. The 32's were significantly cheaper when I bought them. Looking forward to seeing your truck done!
My truck is in the shop getting new ball joints and a few engine mods, mad ignition, new exhaust. Got a new set if 15s and some new bfg 35x11.5s to compliment the ten inch lift, ladder bars, and fuel cell In the bed. Trying to decide if I want to do an exo roll cage or do it inside also building some tubular doors to throw insuring the nice weather. Also if anyone is doing wheels on a budgr

If Ur wanting to do wheels on a budget my suggestion is to do what I did and get some dirt track racing time the go for like 50-60 a piece most places. I got some black w/ purple time attack Li.es on em for 250 for the set including shipping. Just an idea for .those of us on budgets lol. I'll post pics as soon as I get the truck back to my house as the.shop is an your away..
