they look stock to me they even got kind of a negitive arch like they get after so long.. its got a 400 in it maybe its a combonation of the bigblock and the supercab?
My understanding was that "heavy half ton" loosely refers to any F150 in general - distinguishing it from the F100. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
I don`t think any half ton came stock with leaf springs up front, so my best guess would it being swapped in but maybe supercabs are different.
The 150 super cab 4x4's did have leaves up front.

That was my understanding as well. But I thought heavy half was in a designation or had some sorta significance in Chevy land.
I questioned the leaf sprung front on the F-150 super cab in 2wd. I found one for sale a time back and was told it was leaf sprung. When I raised the question,I was told that ,yes some were leaf sprung, as this gentlemans father had owned it from day one. I can say that I have never seen one in person though.
I have owned three f-150 S Cab ,two wheel drive. Two with 400 engines and one with a 460. They all had the correct engines in them according to the vin numbers. They all had Twin I Beam with coil springs ,same size. Maybe on a spcial order you could get one with leaf springs ? Has it got a straight I beam or Twin I beam ? Or 4/4 ?
Check your V.I.N. numbers on the frame and see if they are the same as the ones on the cab. Somebody may have done a frame swap to make it a f-250. Has it got five lug wheels on it ?Theres a chance it could be HOT, I would want to find out if it were me.
