Did any of the Super Duty trucks come with electric rear window defrosters? It's one of those things you never think about until your truck doesn't have one
I guess you have never plowed with your truck then. My rear window fogs all the time and its a PITA. i was trying to find how to put a system in but i dropped the ball on it and never did anything with it except get a squeege and keep cleaning it off.let me know if you find any aftermarket systems because i would be interested. Also part of why mine fogs in rear is that i have a cover on and the snow constantly builds against the window.
That's pretty much what I expected as I've never seen a SD with one either. It's a great feature. I'll have to do a little research and see what I can come up with. Might just have to visit the local GMC dealer to see if the Sierra ones just stick on the window. I'm figuring if nothing else by putting a GMC part on my Ford it will make it have more power
Dunno how good it is, I just found it in a Google search.
That kit looks like it would work, the only thing I wouldn't bother with is the extra switch...that could easily be tied into the switch for the mirror defroster like a GM truck. It's a definite option, thanks for the link.
With my truck cap, I have this problem fairly often. My rear wiper clears off the back glass on the cap, but sometimes the rear glass of the cab is fogged up.
Well, I just subscribed to this thread as well. I clicked on the link for the aftermarket defrosters. I have a rear sliding window, I also have a sliding window on my topper, and then there is the rear topper window, but that one is one piece. It looked to me like they would only work on a solid window, and not one with a slider. Did I miss something, or will they work with a rear sliding window? Thanks, Brian
