anyone have a fisher plow set up and run HID's in the truck? (not the plow). im wondering if the fisher e-force wiring screws up HIDs...
I tried HIDs before (i cant remember the company now...) on my 04 sierra 3/4 a few years ago and they wouldnt work. the company couldnt figure it out either but tested the hid kit after i sent it back and said it was fine. it wasnt til about a year after that it hit me that it might have been the plow wiring...although you'd think they should be fine...
so i'd like to run them in my current 04 f-250...just wondering if anyone has any input... thanks
thinking of ddmtuning - had them in my 2008 legacy and they were flawless.
I just finished installing an HID kit from DDM Tuning and it was VERY simple & complete. I have a 99 F250 but upgraded to 2005 Harley lights so instead of 9007 bulbs I have H13 bulbs. I was using a harness from DFUSER to adapt the 9007 to H13 but just yesterday I finally took the time to find a breaker and clip off the H13 headlight pigtails from a wrecked '06 F250.
Hardest part of the entire install was clipping off the original 9007 plug ends and soldering in the new H13 plugs. Everything else is plug-n-play.
All for under $100, pigtails included!! The kit I bought is the slim ballast kit, 55W 5000k color Hi/Lo package.
My advise is to not use stupid HIDs. For the cost it takes to do a proper and halfway legal setup, you could have an awesome and equally good halogen system with driving lights. The only advantage to HIDs is the low power consumption.

Very true, but people want the LOOK!! Halogens don't look as COOL as HID lights. Didn't you know that aftermarket is ALWAYS better than stock?
